That's usually the norm,
but today is the first day
it's been actually warm
in what feels like a very long time.
In almost all of my classes,
I found excuses to go outside.
A side trip to get a dollar
out of my car
to buy a soda.
Begging my seminary teacher
to let us have our lesson outside.
Eventually,
taking my last period class
outside
just to walk.
We talked forever as we walked along.
I think that class
was the first class I had a sub in
that actually taught
a good life lesson.
Not the kind where
everything is planned
and prepared,
but actually something
he felt we should learn.
Today's a sunny day.
I danced around all day,
blue and red fabric trailing around me
as I leapt for joy,
soaking up the light
while I could,
walking among friends,
jumping over rocks,
and realizing I haven't been
just dreaming something up.
That was probably the best part,
realizing it wasn't all in my head.
Today's a sunny day,
inside and out.
And it's only 3 in the afternoon :D
